This weekend I’ll be at the Tennessee Professional Photographers Association convention in Franklin. So here’s one of the best images from a senior session earlier this year.

This week’s pic is from a recent senior session. It’s simply two friends hanging out together. They will remember this for years!
This week, another senior portrait… Katye, a rising senior at Tullahoma High School… and Tullahoma’s Junior Miss!
Ten beautiful and talented young ladies recently dropped by my studio in the Harton House as part of their preparations for the 2011 Cumberland Valley’s Junior Miss. The final competition will be this Saturday evening in the new auditorium at Tullahoma High School. In fact, this will be the first event in the newly renovated auditorium. Come on out.
Meanwhile, here are the contestants.
My new ad came out today in the THS Echo … the student newspaper at Tullahoma High School. It is hard to get color exactly right in newsprint, so here’s a web sized version of the original.
Xenia wanted some of her senior portraits done with a grand piano… here’s one of the close-ups.

Here’s a blooper from today’s senior portrait shoot near Estill Springs, Tennessee. The horse kept nibbling on Taylor’s hand… maybe looking for a treat?
The first game at the new Tullahoma High School stadium is tonight. This week’s pic is from the first senior shoot there.

One of the really fun things about creating images on location is finding all sorts of really cool and different spots to shoot. Sometimes it’s obvious how to place and pose a subject in a certain spot. Sometimes it’s not. It’s not uncommon for me to jump in and demonstrate.
Recently I was shooting on a farm and wanted to use a great looking hay barn. So to demonstrate just how I was envisioning the image, I climbed up and took the pose. Amanda, my assistant for the day, took a shot.
Then Rosalyn made it look good.
This week we take a walk in the woods with Forrester Wall, a senior at Franklin County High School.
