There’s just something awesome about shooting senior portraits. Maybe it’s the freshness and fun of youth. Emily brought an absolutely beautiful warmth to the studio. Here’s the one I picked to hang on the studio wall.

So what happens when a bride walks past a firehouse?
Of course the guys welcome her to sit with them and show her their fire truck! Many thanks to the gentlemen at Madison Firehouse #1!
Earlier I wrote about meeting Makenna for the first time. Roger and Tara Ingalls did bring her by the studio in the spring. I just delivered a beautiful mid-sized gallery mounted piece for Tara’s conference room at Tingalls Dyzn.
Here is the image that Tara selected.
Trisha sent me the following note after getting her engagement order:
Norris,
Thank you for all of the pictures! They turned out great. It’s been fun working with you.
Thanks!
Trisha
I just got back from my fourth Trash the Dress session. Amanda drove over from Milwaukee just for this. I wanted to get a sunset, but the clouds were not cooperating. It’s a good thing we went ahead anyway because the sky did open up. While it wasn’t a full on sunset, we did get some amazing color out there.
My favorite makeup artist is getting married. I had the honor of capturing Trisha and Seth in celebration of their engagement. Seth is working to become a firefighter, so I thought this emergency call box would be neat to work into their session. Click on the photo to see more of this happy couple.
Now I have to find a new makeup artist for my brides, high school seniors and other clients.
I had the pleasure of shooting a bridal session with Julia Lachimova earlier today. We started in the studio for some more formal type of portraits. We then ventured out to capture more of Julia’s bubbly personality. It turned into a fun, non-destructive trash the dress type of session. Click on the picture to see a slide show.
